Subject: Get this!
I got this a while ago because there isn't much Tommy acoustic stuff that circulates, noticed Bernieboop's review (hes always on point). Eleanor Rigby gives some serious chills with the cello player, very cool take on a classic. This is a must download for any Brothers Past fan.

Subject: A MUST HAVE!
This is a super full, crisp, and clear audience recording of a beautiful set of music. It's just Tommy on his acoustic guitar & vocals (and piano on Bitches & Candy), some girl named Krysta with a haunting and gorgeous voice who joins in on backup vocals and plays the cello(!), and Tom McKee sits in on piano and backup vocals for a couple tracks as well.

Anyway, this is an excellent display of Tommy Hamilton's songwriting skills. A bunch of BP tunes stripped down to their bare essentials and then reinterpreted. I think you'll find that, stripped of all the bells and whistles of the electronic rock full band arrangements, these songs still stand up strong and remain as good as, if not even better, than in their original format. This show definitely gave me a whole new appreciation of the songcraft involved in Brothers Pasts music.

Throw in a few choice covers, including a slightly mangled interpretation of Radiohead's as-yet-unreleased tune There There, and you've got a show that makes for a great listen... that stands up well to repeated listenings.

Notes

This is NOT a regular Brothers Past show. This is Tommy Hamilton acoustic with the help of several other musicians at times... including Tom McKee on piano and Krysta (???) on cello/vocals.
